关于我们

Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System (SBHS) is a 160-bed acute care facility located in Streamwood,IL and has been providing mental health treatment to the Chicagoland community and the state of Illinois since 1991. We are dedicated to offering services to meet the ever-changing emotional and behavioral healthcare needs of children, adolescents, and their families. Seeking help for a loved one can be stressful and may leave parents, guardians and families feeling overwhelmed. We understand that dealing with an emotional or behavioral health issue affects the entire family, not just the individual seeking or needing help. That is why our approach to healing takes into account the entire social environment for the children, adolescents and young adults in our care. This includes the family, school, living situation and community. Service Excellence and Customer Engagement are important parts of our philosophy and our entire staff is dedicated to providing H.O.P.E.-Healthy Opportunities in a Peaceful Environment-for all of those in our care. • It’s March Madness at Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System! We’re joining in on the NCAA tournament excitement with our very own Departmental Bracket Challenge! Each department has been randomly assigned a team in the tournament—and as those teams advance, so does the friendly competition among our staff! It’s a great way to boost morale, encourage teamwork and enjoy a little spirited fun during the tournament season. Pictured here is our official March Madness Team Board, creatively designed by one of our talented Business Development Managers, Cassandra Hartness! She brought the tournament to life with this vibrant display, adding an extra level of excitement to our halls. Who will take home the championship (and department bragging rights)? Stay tuned as the madness continues! #HospitalSpirit #DepartmentChallenge #MentalHealthMatters

Recently, we had the privilege of participating in SOS Day at Larkin High School, an event supported by Alyssa’s Mission, which works tirelessly to prevent suicide among children and adolescents. Our Business Development Manager, Cassandra Hartness, partnered with Larkin High School Social Worker, Charles Wells, and school staff to provide mental health assessments to students in need. Events like these reinforce the importance of open conversations, accessible resources, and strong community partnerships in protecting the well-being of our youth. • This week, we are excited to shine our #EmployeeSpotlight on Rochelle, aka “Roxy", an intern in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Roxy was selected for her dedication to our patients and for the courage, style and individuality she brings to our workplace every day. She believes that in times of darkness, we should each bring color and brightness into our world—and she does just that! From her neon jackets to her vibrant shoes, Roxy’s fantastic wardrobe lights up the hallways and brings joy to both patients and staff alike. Her positive energy has made a lasting impact, especially on our kids and preteens, who have lovingly given her the nickname “Rainbow Roxy.” Roxy, thank you for reminding us that self-expression, kindness and positivity can make all the difference in a behavioral healthcare setting. Your presence is a beacon of light for those who need it most! #MentalHealthMatters #HopeStartsHere
