Stream + Wetlands Foundation is thrilled to announce that we are working with The Dawes Arboretum, in collaboration with the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER) and Microsoft’s Datacenter Community Affairs team, to implement the Rolling Hills Meadow Wetland Restoration project at the Arboretum in Licking County, #Ohio. This project aims to restore ~2.5 acres of #wetland in a recently abandoned, tile-drained agricultural field. The restoration work will improve water quality and habitat while providing opportunities for community engagement and volunteer events. Construction is expected to start in fall 2024. The S+W maintenance and monitoring team has spent the last few weeks transplanting water lily (Nymphaea odorata) and spatterdock (Nuphar advena) to our new project sites.
