It was such a pleasure and privilege to spend most of Tuesday at the The LBJ School of Public Affairs at my local university in Austin. I had extended sessions with students and staff, and delivered a lecture on my area of specialisation from UN days, the Global Jihadi threat. UT and the LBJ School provide a marvellous environment for study, research, thought leadership and visiting expertise. My association has been mainly with the Intelligence Studies Project, a joint program of the Clements Center for National Security and the Strauss Center for International Security and Law. My only complaint is that the refreshments served at the talks are so good I couldn’t be sure if people had come for them or me!
