AS IN SPORTS, it takes a team to compete in a law school moot court competition. ? For the National Moot Court Competition in Child Welfare & Adoption Law at Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, this past weekend, two students wrote the appellate briefs that four other students who traveled to Columbus, Ohio, this past weekend utilized in the oral arguments in the competition. ? Ashley Bringer wrote the brief for the presentation team of Haley Hartig and Abigail Brand that placed third in the brief-writing portion of the competition. ? The presentation team of Kavian McMillan and Allison Mullikin, with a brief by Calli Antle, advanced to the quarter-finals overall, with Kavian placing sixth individually among more than 50 competitors in the preliminary round of oral presentation. ? In the Round of 16 in the overall competition, the team of Kavian and Allison prevailed over the team of Haley and Abigail to go on to the quarter finals. ?
