We’re honored to announce that Coforma has secured a new contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to support the Medicaid Drug Program (MDP). This critical program helps offset the federal and state costs of outpatient prescription drugs for Medicaid recipients and calculate rebate amounts drug manufacturers owe to state Medicaid agencies to cover these costs. We’ve assembled a powerhouse of industry-leading firms to help us deliver this work, including For People, ICF/SemanticBits, Oddball, Stratiform Digital, Element Solutions, and Blue Tiger. Our team includes Medicaid policy experts, human-centered researchers and designers, agile engineers, and others who collectively bring decades of experience supporting CMS. We’re also joined by experts in pharmacy rebates, pricing, and pharmacy data collection and reporting systems who guide our efforts in creating policy-aligned products and services to help ensure Medicaid recipients have affordable access to prescription drugs. Team Coforma will provide high-impact solutions to maintain the MDP’s operational excellence, reduce manual interventions, generate a clear, viable roadmap for future innovations, and reduce administrative burden for CMS personnel. Anchoring our efforts in an approach based on human-centered design principles, we’re committed to ongoing user engagement, iterative testing, and close collaboration with the CMS team and users as we develop and improve the MDP suite of products and services.
