“Adversity teaches a man a lot about himself”. With that being said these three candidates did their OJT (painted and worked on a house for a local church ministry ) in one of the coldest weeks we had recently. Needless to say the house had no heating but the hearts of these Plumbers & Gasfitters candidates pretty much made it up with their warmth and hardwork. SWD has in this winter /spring cohort trained 18 candidates and quite successfully too.

In view of a skilled construction workforce gathering momentum in KCMO, with mega conglomerates like Google, Meta, Panasonic with Amazon already setting a base here; I believe our organization is ready to roll out a steady skilled workers for the next year as well. This year SWD completed nine programs and had a success rate of 90 % graduation , with 95 % employment success.
