This is what community looks like! ????? Yesterday, we joined our neighbors across District 2 with our partners at First Merchants Corporation to spread some love! I don’t acknowledge or celebrate Thanksgiving—I name the real history. I do acknowledge, however, the season of cold in Michigan, end of the year, gifts for children and loved ones, and bills piling up. In that spirit, we hung out for a few hours today with Brilliant Detroit Fitzgerald, Spirit Love Church on Puritan, and Councilwoman Angela Calloway—giving grocery gift cards out to our neighbors. I’m proud of our partnership at Strategic Community Partners with First Merchants over the last couple years—touring team members around in my car to tell them the story of our neighborhood and why there’s no other place they should be, listening to and engaging with our neighbors to hear from them what they want in a community banking institution, and having a partner who commits to a people-led agenda and continues to put money into the community even before the day they open their doors! It takes a village—and we all have a role to play with and for our people. Let’s keep building!??? #partnerships #community #communitybank #District2 #Fitzgerald #alwaystheseasontoshowlove Jennifer Hourigan Artina Packnett, MBA Terri Cable @DeniseHill Gabriela Sullen, B.S., MPA

We are so grateful for our time last week in our Sister City of St. Louis. From our #Detroit neighborhood of #Fitzgerald to our #StLouis neighborhood on #Delmar, the commonalities across our communities–from history to education to entrepreneurship and beyond–remind us of why it is important to be rooted in our core values of passion, excellence, integrity, and equity. When we think about our partnerships and initiatives and the groundwork we’ve been laying the last several years with our St. Louis community, we are inspired and proud of what’s to come! So much power, so much love! Harris-Stowe State University Delmar Main Street WEPOWER BioSTL STEMSTL The Delmar Loop Charli Cooksey Delmar Devine LaTonia Collins Smith, Ed.D
