At Michigan School Business Officials' recent fall conference, we had the pleasure of connecting with so many individuals, and to add a bit of fun, we hosted a contest at our booth, offering a chance for school districts to have items from their Amazon Wish Lists fulfilled. This contest wasn’t just about giving; it was about living out one of our core values: CARE. We love supporting those who make a difference, and are thrilled to see the impact these items are already having. Recently, we received this fantastic photo from Grosse Pointe Public School System, showing the kids enjoying the new soccer balls and soccer nets they won through our contest. Seeing their smiles and knowing the equipment is helping them learn, play, and grow is exactly why we do what we do. Congratulations to Alternatives For Girls on the opening of the new Dr. Maya Angelou Village, a 50,000SF multi-family building designed to support at-risk girls and young women. Located in #Detroit’s Brightmoor neighborhood, this new construction features with 45 affordable units, a community room, activity room, and an attached daycare facility. It’s been an incredibly rewarding experience collaborating with Alternatives for Girls, Full Circle Communities, Inc and LBBA Architects to create this space which offers hope and a fresh start to those facing homelessness, violence, early pregnancy, and exploitation. ?? Congratulations to the University of Michigan's Hayward Geothermal Facility for winning the coveted Project Achievement Award from the Construction Association of Michigan! ?? We brought our 25+ years of experience in #geothermal engineering and consultation to this groundbreaking project. The facility houses the advanced ground heat exchanger equipment, which is connected to 99 bores that reach 700 feet into the ground to provide geothermal heating and cooling to the new 163,000SF Leinweber Computer Science & Information Building. The Leinweber Building is set to be the first large-scale university facility to eliminate natural gas heating and marks the first of several geothermal systems across campus helping UM achieve its ambitious #sustainability goals.
