Carbon-neutral transportation solutions are essential for companies looking to reduce their carbon footprint, but for air travel specifically, few options exist. This is where Strategic Biofuels comes in. We are creating sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) with an ultra-carbon negative footprint using forestry waste and leveraging carbon capture and storage. We sincerely appreciate the support from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the USDA Forest Service as we developed our “Practical Guide to Forestry Feedstock Under the Renewable Fuel Standard” (RFS), a first-of-its-kind industry resource. It is now being recommended by the EPA for organizations interested in using forestry feedstock to produce renewable fuels under the RFS program. ? As we wrap up 2024, we are proud to celebrate a year of significant milestones. This year has been transformative, and we thank you, partners, team and community, for the unwavering support as we work to develop the world’s lowest carbon footprint Sustainable Aviation Fuel. - Investment Commitments: We secured significant investment commitments from Sumitomo Corporation of Americas and Magnolia Sustainable Energy Partners. Their confidence in our vision and technology propels us forward in our mission to create innovative sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). -?Industry-First Practical Guide: We published a first-of-its-kind guide, “A Practical Guide to Forestry Feedstock Under the Renewable Fuel Standard”. A culmination of work conducted under an agreement signed with the USDA Forest Service, this guide is a testament to our commitment to innovation and leadership in the renewable fuels sector. Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey this year. We look forward to continuing our work towards advance the Louisiana Green Fuels project in 2025. Did you know that just one gallon of our Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blended with three gallons of fossil-derived jet fuel will yield a true carbon net zero fuel? Using waste from managed, sustainable plantation forests as the feedstock, we are converting the wood into carbon monoxide and hydrogen and then re-combining them to produce SAF, with carbon dioxide and water as byproducts.
