Earlier this week, Strata Leadership had the honor of celebrating the graduation of MidFirst Bank Leadership Academy Class VII! During Session Three, participants completed Course Five and Course Six. On Course Day Five, led by Strata Leadership facilitator Valerie Hope, the focus was on coaching in the workplace. We explored essential coaching principles such as the power of listening, asking insightful questions, and responding thoughtfully. The session emphasized fostering a coaching mindset that empowers others, with practical tools for setting next steps and ensuring accountability. A special thank you to Erin Fong, Treasurer at MidFirst Bank, for joining us as our Executive Guest Speaker. On Course Day Six, we were joined by Nathan Mellor, EdD, PCC, CEO of Strata Leadership, for a session on Motivating and Engaging Employees using the SCARF model—a framework that addresses key human needs of recognition, clarity, autonomy, connection, and fairness. This session provided powerful tools for creating high-performing, motivated teams. We were also honored to have Greg Schaefer, Chief Financial Officer of MidFirst Bank, as our Executive Guest Speaker. We are incredibly proud of Class VII and the strides they’ve made throughout the program. These leaders have grown both personally and professionally, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact they’ll continue to make in their communities and organizations.
