关于我们

We are trying to solve a global problem: As Human beings we are spending too much of our energy and the planet’s resources on work that adds no value at all. Our proprietary approach quickly shows that this waste is greater than the value added by a factor of 9:1. This chronic imbalance is making our work inefficient. There is however good news because having learned to see this waste and value clearly the route to improvement becomes both obvious and highly inspiring. There are times in human history when we have upgraded the way we work but this has been limited to some industries, a small number of sectors and many transitory examples. Having become students and then practitioners of these approaches we have seen how to permanently upgrade human working to that of higher levels. Our purpose is to help organisations achieve higher levels of performance and reduce resource consumption by removing waste.

    John Robinson's #QuorumPrinciple is gaining global interest. The UK has the largest concentration of advocates for the concept from both manufacturers and the supplier ecosystem and many of them met yesterday in London at Make UK. STRAKT's purpose and methods support the principle that collaboration within multidisciplinary teams focused on customer value, is the best way to improve sustainability and productivity. #RadicalCollaboration Indeed our #ProjectFlow methodology starts with discovery where customers, suppliers and the core project team get together to explore the problem/opportunity and identify what they don't know. So we, with the other advocates, are proud to be supporting John Robinson and this UK Initiative to deliver a step change in manufacturing performance and build a model that can be replicated globally! #shoutaboutukmfg #supportukmfg #ukmanufacturing #STRAKT

    Creator of The Quorum Principle?. Helping leaders adopt a paradigm shift in their approach to performance improvement

    Yesterday was the start of something that could be a game changer. Not just here in the UK but globally. An incredible range of very talented people representing every corner of UK manufacturing. Together in one room and with one common interest, UK Manufacturing. All in broad agreement on the need for change and the way to do it - radical collaboration. The goal moving forward is to create a working model here in the UK that creates a template for other economies to follow. This should be an interesting ride! Thanks to everyone who attended and those who couldn't make it on the day but were there in spirit!

    Alex Kendall the CEO of Wayve gave a very interesting, humble and deep talk at Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge last night. It really got me thinking and then he presented his conclusions. OMG, this is the embodied AI guru and what has he learned is what we coach and train high performing project teams on all the time. Don’t do the easy stuff first to feel like your making progress, do the high risk difficult part. It provides focus, tests your team and saves loads of time and money in the process. If you fail, you fail cheaply. Collect the data. Don’t optimise the stuff you can see but find the stuff that the data tells you. Vision with high humility. My take, don’t be an arsehole, a good idea is a good idea wherever it comes from…give credit, admit mistakes, help people feel the contribution they are making and guide the team back to the value being sort or the problem being solved right now. Best ideas come from cross discipline work. Yes yes yes and yes! We also find that the efficient work is cross discipline…it helps information in discoveries to flow, decisions to be taken, definitions to be developed, and deliverables to be done. The key is to maintain this as you scale and avoid the diseconomies as you do this. I will post on the other points about the technology later today, but needless to say Alex’s journey from building a drone in NZ to starting a PhD at Trinity in 2014 to leading a team of 450 motivated people today to deliver the vision he has is epic and an inspiration for all.     STRAKT we like to help you shed new light onto a problem and fix it…but the people at MIT have created a camera that can film at 1 trillion frames a second…so fast you can watch light move through space. It’s so fast that you can see the light hit an object and then a shadow form behind it.
