Getting work published, or even receiving feedback from a publisher, is difficult for any author. And it’s even more difficult if you aren’t white, straight, and cisgender. That’s why we created StoryForge — because there are amazing stories out there that aren’t being heard. StoryForge is a platform where writers can share their work, read others’ work, and give and receive feedback. It’s a community where writers are empowered, no matter their background, and can polish their stories and eventually get them published. ? StoryForge was designed to empower diverse writers that the publishing industry often ignores. ? Publishers rarely provide any feedback, yet this is exactly what writers need to improve their craft. Had such a fun conversation with Kasey Devine, MBA on the how? podcast. I was really nervous beforehand, had a whole panic attack and everything. But Kasey was an excellent host and drew the conversation towards building weird communities to fight systematic inequality.
