One of these shots by StoryboardArt community mentor Clara Lim @claralim.doodles has been flopped from the original scene. Can you point out which one it is and how it changes the flow of the scene??? When illustrating characters in conversation, it doesn’t matter if it’s storyboards or comic books or any other type of visual storytelling, you should always try to have them “facing each other”. Although, in comics and other still images, like here in our example, we have the luxury of going back and forth and looking at the images until they make sense. But in film??, we have to keep up with the motion of a scene (besides using the pause button!), making it of utmost importance that the clarity and flow from shot to shot is kept on track. Once a viewer is lost, it’s a challenge to get them back on track or clear up what they’ve missed visually.
