Today I'm thrilled to reveal Story Co — an independent film studio based in San Francisco, CA. We're focused on creating the best science & technology films so we can make the best science fiction films. This is the company I've wanted to build since I was 9. Story inspires science, science makes story real. This is our company motto — we believe that fictional stories about the future serve as a blueprint for those who build the future. We also believe that we need better stories. Stories about optimists building the future. Films about the frontiers of innovation. Science fiction that depicts what a beautiful future could look like. Last week we released our first "Frontier Film," a new kind of film meant to explore the frontiers of innovation, science, and thinking. We plan to release these films freely on X and YouTube to maximize the # of people who can see and become inspired by them. This week we're releasing the next evolution of S3 — we're calling it "Field Notes." Field Notes is closer to what my original vision for S3 was — cinematic explorations of the work and minds of the most ambitious innovators and scientists of our time. If you like sports, you wear Nike. If you like science, technology, and the idea of a beautiful and abundant future, what do you wear? For every film we release — we'll try to have an answer for that question releasing unique apparel with each film. We're building our company in San Francisco for 3 reasons: 1. We want to approach filmmaking from the ground up — without the baggage of Hollywood 2. If you drop a pin on SF and draw a 100 mile circle, you can find ANY movie location you need 3. SF needs a cultural revive We are beyond lucky to work with the most ambitious teams in the world to help visualize their vision and mission (www.story.inc/client). We hyper-selectively make Brand Spots (think Apple, Here's to the Crazy Ones), "We Are" videos, capabilities videos, and CGI. As of the last month we're partnering with leading distributors and established studios to create bigger feature-length films and limited series (more news VERY soon). Our EOY 2026 goal is to have our first feature-length film in theaters around the country. We are Story Company.
