Tired of your JVM being a memory hog? Rightsizing JVM workloads on Kubernetes requires knowing what the appropriate heap size should be and then sizing the container around that heap size. By analyzing Java metrics using machine learning, we generate tailored recommendations for heap size, as well as Kubernetes resource requests and limits. These recommendations can be reviewed and applied through a user-friendly interface, or they can be deployed automatically, for continuous performance optimization. Drop us a comment or message about accessing our limited availability Java Workload Optimization.

It was fantastic to bring together the cloud-native community for an another evening of insightful discussions and meaningful connections. The event offered a valuable opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another, and explore the latest developments in cloud-native technologies. A big thank you to John Platt CTO at StormForge for his excellent talk on “Demystifying Kubernetes Resource Management.” His insights sparked engaging conversations and left us with practical takeaways to apply in our own work. Appreciate everyone who took the time to join us and contribute to the discussions. Events like this highlight the value of community-driven learning and collaboration. We’re already looking forward to the next Cloud Native Midtown meetup. If you missed this one, stay tuned for future events with more talks, discussions, and networking opportunities. Thank you Cloud Native Midtown for coming out in NYC last night! The conversations, ideas, and questions asked were ?? (and of course the ?? 'cuz NYC). Here's a snapshot of what we heard: ?? Everyone has heard of requests and limits, no one know how they work under the hood ?? How you set requests and limits is a judgement call bases on various factors ?? Why did they make limits at all if you shouldn’t set them? ?? Every workload is a snowflake - from ML needing tons of compute to java hogging memory ?? Karpenter is amazing, but it can be a lot of work to run - people can offload that to AWS now with EKS Auto Mode

Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF)

The State of FinOps 2025 Report just dropped, and one thing is clear: FinOps is evolving—fast. ?? Priorities are shifting. Governance and policy at scale are now the top focus, replacing last year’s push for workload optimization and waste reduction. ?? FinOps teams aren’t just managing cloud spend anymore. SaaS, licensing, and AI costs are becoming a bigger part of the equation. So what does all of this actually mean for FinOps teams, cloud engineers, and finance leaders? Yasmin COO at StormForge discusses how resource governance becomes critical in large Kubernetes clusters. She explains how adding "safety buffers" compounds across workloads, driving cluster utilization into single digits. The interview explores the tension between platform teams pursuing cost optimization and development teams prioritizing reliability through over-provisioning.
