    Importance of Primary Air in a Pulverized Coal Fired Boiler. This is critical for pulverizer performance and boiler optimization. Primary Airflow management is a key parameter for air/fuel ratio control of each pulverizer for proper drying and transportation of the fuel to the burner. In addition, primary air management is a key for fineness and distribution to each fuel line impacting unit performant (i.e. slagging/fouling), etc...     Educating the public on the true facts of energy and electricity generation is important. My belief is that less than 3% of the general public (aka voters) understand energy and electricity generation as well as the folks like you on LinkedIn. My humble attempt to spread the true facts is shown on the attached. I was invited by my friend Gerry Osborne to provide a 20 minute presentation to his Rotary Club. The presentation is provided here, with my speakers notes. This was tailored to provide energy info in N.C. The actual presentation was shortened due to time constraints, but here is what I prepared. I should acknowledge the inspiration for the title was from a You Tube video sent to me by Vincent Bourdonneau. The video is from 2007 of Lee Raymond (retired ExxonMobil CEO) introducing the National Petroleum Council Report of that year entitled: "Facing the Hard Truths on Energy" Mr. Raymond, in my opinion, did an extraordinary job of describing what a 150 Billion gallons of motor fuel would look like if it were placed in one gallon cans and those cans lined up: 150 Billion gallon cans would encircle the earth 1,000 times. That was 2007 petroleum use. It is larger now. Check out Mr. Raymond's talk here. It is worth watching.
