Suicide is a complex problem that disproportionately impacts the military community. Stop Soldier Suicide is the only national nonprofit focused solely on solving the issue of suicide among U.S. veterans and service members. Our team is laser-focused on research and care that is specific to reducing veteran and service member suicide. Our vision is a nation where veterans and service members have no greater risk for suicide than any other American. We have an aggressive goal to reduce the military suicide rate by 40% no later than 2030.

This week, we had the pleasure of bringing together #businessleaders and #communityleaders in Wilmington, Delaware to celebrate, honor and drive Vet Fest forward into its 10th year. I’m inspired and grateful to be a part of this movement. To see so many folks from different sectors - finance, healthcare, energy, education and more - rally around the mission of Stop Soldier Suicide and stand with us, it’s something special. If you or members of your network are in the #Delaware/#Philadelphia area with a passion for our #military and #veteran community, please consider sharing and joining us in May for a bourbon tasting or September for our full Vet Fest race and celebration. Happy to connect for more details!
Black men and women have served this nation with honor, yet they remain chronically underserved in healthcare—including mental health. While Black veterans make up about 13% of the veteran population, they account for nearly 43% of Stop Soldier Suicide’s clients. That’s a 231% delta—clear proof that traditional support systems aren’t working. At Stop Soldier Suicide, we’re bridging that gap with barrier-free, life-saving care for all veterans and service members, regardless of race, discharge status, or generation. Access matters. Equity matters. Lives depend on it. If you know someone who needs help, connect them. If you believe in this mission, share this message. Together, we can break barriers and create real change. If you want to find out how your company can join the fight & bridge health equity gaps in partnership with SSS - DM me to learn more and set up a call. #BlackHistoryMonth #StopSoldierSuicide #VeteranSupport #HealthEquity
