Last Saturday on September 14th, R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy students collaborated with Arizona Pharmacy Association's naloxone distribution program, SODAz - Stop Overdose Deaths Arizona. During the event, students educated the public on the importance of naloxone to reverse opioid overdoses and help save lives! As National Prevention Week approaches, we're calling on compassionate individuals to join us in a vital mission: assembling naloxone kits to prevent overdose deaths. Did you know that naloxone can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and save lives? It's a critical tool in combating the opioid crisis, and you can be a part of this life-saving effort. The Stop Overdose Arizona (SODAz) program is seeking volunteers to assist in assembling naloxone kits on Tuesday May 14th?from 10am - 2pm. These kits will be distributed for FREE through participating community pharmacies in Maricopa County.
