A student organization at SBU devoted to helping students learn succeed in electrical and computer engineering
关于我们
We are the Stony Brook University IEEE Student Branch (IEEE at SBU), a professional organization focused on helping students prepare for their careers in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and related fields like computer science. We work to further the practice of engineering and help to promote and inspire our members to advance themselves outside of the classroom through professional, academic, technical, and social events. We also have a laboratory that provides students a space to study, relax, meet other IEEE at SBU members, and use computers and electrical equipment.

We had the pleasure of attending the 2024 IEEE Region 1/Region 2 Joint Student Activities Conference, graciously hosted at Villanova University! During the SAC, IEEE Stony Brook distinguished itself, securing 1st and 2nd place in the Micromouse Competition as Team Lab Lurker and WolfRatSigma, respectively. Additionally, Team A^2S^2 took home 3rd place in the Sumobot competition. We also competed in the ethics and Brown Bag Competitions. Our students eagerly engaged in the diverse array of workshops offered, including those centered on Drone technology, Mangdang, Arduino, Sumobot, and Software Defined Radio. We are immensely grateful to the presenters for their invaluable insights. Participating in the SAC proved to be a highly enriching experience, fostering both learning and meaningful connections with over 20 universities in attendance. A heartfelt appreciation goes out to all individuals whose dedication and efforts culminated in the success of this event. We look forward to attending future IEEE SACs!
