When Officers O’Dell and Sollars responded to a disturbance call recently, they discovered a man, covered in blood, holding a baby, with a gun in his waistband. The man ran into an apartment still holding the baby. He had threatened to shoot his firearm, so believing the baby was in immediate danger, the officers forced entry into the residence, chasing after the man until finally catching him outside. The baby was okay, and returned to family. The man, however, was a felon, arrested and charged. Sollars has been with KCPD for three years, while O’Dell graduated from the police academy four months ago. Great job!?

He also discussed our Live Video Monitoring service we use with CHeKT Visual Security to help prevent false alarms and increase police response times to confirmed crimes in progress.
