AQI: Aim, Quest, Inspire Yesterday was a special day for me and the #StonecraftGroup. We inaugurated an #AQI (Air Quality Index) monitoring machine at our project site #WoodsShamshabad. This machine will track air quality improvements over time, guiding our efforts to create healthier spaces. Esteemed dignitaries participated in the event, including Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia; Tea Pirih, Economic Counsellor of Slovenia; #VVLSubhadraDevi (IFS), Additional Commissioner, Urban Biodiversity Wing, GHMC; and Ashok Pavadia, Former Additional Secretary, Government of India. Recently, a report by Times Of India stated, "In 2024, India ranked as the third most polluted country in the world, with an annual AQI average of 95, placing it in the ‘moderate’ category. Delhi set a new pollution record in November 2024, registering an AQI of 795, the highest in the past four years, placing it in the ‘hazardous’ category. If you just hear about it, one may ask what was necessary to inaugurate a small machine. But, here's how I see this: Aim: We as a company aim to create an environment where people get to reconnect with nature. They understand the real meaning of sustainability and co-existence. Quest: Our journey was a bumpy ride. When we started Woods Shamshabad, we stared at a barren land in search of nature. Over the years, we converted our vision into reality by planting 4,50,000 trees on that same barren land. Inspire: Nature was our biggest inspiration. Hearing about the poor air quality in parts of the world pushes me even further to build a sustainable environment for future generations. Breathing good quality air is what everyone deserves!
