Last Saturday, STONE’s monthly hike explored the trails at Stratford Woods / Stratford Ecological Center, where STONE Staff Environmental Scientist, Ross Harrison, formerly worked as an intern.?The Ecological Center included an Educational Farm with animals, orchards, greenhouses, and gardens open to the public.

Today is National Paw-Paw Day, celebrating the largest fruit native to North America which tastes like a cross between a mango and a banana. ?Also known as the Appalachian Banana, the Paw-Paw is also designated as the Ohio State Native Fruit. ?To celebrate, STONE staff baked Paw-Paw bread and dressed in fall colors.
