? The Stockperks Q4 2024 Retail Investing Strategy Survey is here ? We just completed our latest quarterly survey, engaging over 180,000 retail investors on the Stockperks platform. The survey explored market sentiment, investing priorities, and shareholder engagement, revealing overwhelmingly bullish sentiment among respondents. Energy emerged as the leading sector of interest, followed by Information Technology and Financials. Surprisingly, Consumer Discretionary and Communication Services ranked lowest, challenging the common perception that retail investors predominantly gravitate toward consumer-focused industries. By proactively engaging with #retailinvestors, companies can unlock meaningful opportunities for deeper engagement, growth and collaboration. Our own Nicole Maselli represented both #Stockperks and NIRI Virtual Chapter in DC last week and reported back: "Last week I was fortunate to join #NIRI in #WashingtonDC for its annual Legislative and Advocacy Fly-In. We met with members of #Congress, senior legislative staff and the #SEC to educate and advocate for policies that are vital to publicly-traded companies, investor relations and the Capital Markets. I was honored to be part of the group that met with Andrew H. , Legislative Director for #Rep Jerry Nadler New York City district. This is an important district located in Manhattan and home to many corporations and financial institutions. During our meetings on Capitol Hill, we discussed the Public Company Advisory Committee Act (H.R. 4652) and the Modernization of Section 13(f) of the Securities Exchange Act. On Friday, we met with the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance. In addition to the aforementioned issues, we covered Climate Change Disclosures, Proxy Advisory Firm Regulation and the Oversight of Proxy Fees. All of these issues can impact the costs that public companies incur. More importantly, all of the topics discussed have an impact on #retailinvestors, either directly or indirectly. While the topics at hand were serious in nature, it reassured me of how great our country is and how change is truly possible. I started each day with a run along the #NationalMall and felt there was no more inspiring way to start the day, seeing the sun rise over the Capitol and was already thinking about next year’s meeting and our ability to legitimately influence change for the better!" #investorrelations #irchat
