The Atrium at Sumner wins EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA)’s 2024 Project of the Year! The project utilizes a StoTherm ci system with a StoSignature Stone 10 Limestone finish on a dramatic design with bold, diagonal lines that wrap the #building. Congratulations to our incredible team members along with contractor Sessa Plastering; owner Urban Builders Collaborative/New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA); architect Studio Libeskind and distributor Sto Eastern for their collaboration on this project. Designed to meet the rigorous Passive House standards, energy consumption for this striking #seniorhousing development in Brooklyn, New York is projected to be reduced by 60 - 70% compared to typical NYC #apartment buildings. Working with contractor Sessa Plastering; owner Urban Builders Collaborative/New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA); architect Studio Libeskind and distributor Sto Eastern, the project utilizes a StoTherm ci system with a StoSignature Stone 10 Limestone finish. The fa?ade features a smooth natural look on the striking geometric form with stunning angles designed so windows would capture more sunlight in winter and allow it to cascade over them in summer. It was an awesome blend of work and play at this month’s StoVentec School at our Atlanta headquarters! Attendees were treated to a hands-on experience with StoVentec Fiber Cement - our new, unique panel system with the added benefits of a rainscreen design, providing lasting weather protection and superior value. This complete, single source back-ventilated rainscreen cladding system is designed and engineered by Sto, with all exterior wall components working seamlessly together for enhanced performance and durability. Shown in the first and second photos are the fasteners for fiber cement and the concealed fastener clip on the back of the fiber cement. And last, what’s a demo day without some fun? We wrapped up the day with a client experience where participants had the opportunity to ride in a Porsche Cayman.
