Panelists Dr. Sharon Thompson, Teniqua Broughton, and Tad Gary shared findings from a new white paper co-authored by The State of Black Arizona and March of Dimes showing that Black mothers in Arizona are 2.5 times more likely to lose their babies compared to non-Hispanic whites. Dr. Thompson emphasized the role of systemic racism and unequal treatment in driving these disparities.
