STM Weather is growing! ?? STM Gardens, an online learning series by STM Weather, is launching April 1, 2025. There is arguably no bigger factor that affects the health of your garden more than the weather. Weather and climate directly influence plant growth, health, and harvest. With STM Gardens, we’ll be taking a deep dive into specific weather topics as they relate to gardening. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, a deeper understanding of the weather, and how to observe, track, and learn from the nuances and specific patterns in your zone can make all the difference in cultivating a thriving garden. While there are numerous courses, blogs, podcasts, and communities on social media for gardeners to educate themselves and improve their skills, Alicia C. Wasula, PhD, CCM noticed a lack in the market for products that specifically address the all-important weather component to gardening. Before our first class becomes available for purchase on April 1, we would love to provide a few home gardeners with the chance to beta test our class and provide feedback. If you are interested in being a test student, please check out the below post for details: https://lnkd.in/epEms5De

We at STM Weather are deeply grateful for the dedicated civil servants within NOAA and the National Weather Service who work tirelessly to provide accurate and timely weather information. Their expertise and commitment to serving the public not only keep us informed, but also help us make crucial, and at times life-saving, decisions while navigating the challenges of weather. Their efforts ensure safety and preparedness, and we thank each and every member for their invaluable contributions.

The start of Meteorological Spring is right around the corner, and it's only a matter of time before the weather headlines turn from cold and snow to severe weather and tornadoes. In this week's blog, we take a look back at the history behind tornado chasing. Next week, in anticipation of Women's History month, we'll follow up by highlighting an organization that is seeking to even out the representation of women in the field of storm chasing. Stay tuned! https://lnkd.in/e76yGpyh
