Every Friday in October, we partner with Opelousas General Health System Foundation’s Paint the Town Pink’s campaign to stand in solidarity with breast cancer fighters and survivors. The pink ribbon was introduced in 1992 by Alexandra Penney, Editor-in-Chief of SELF magazine, and Evelyn Lauder, a breast cancer survivor and Senior Corporate Vice President of Estée Lauder. The pink ribbon represents hope, courage, and the charitable support of the breast cancer movement.
