St. Louis Area Diaper Bank strives to make a health, social and economic impact by not only providing diapers and period supplies but by connecting them to these resources and other resources through our partner agencies. Providing families in need with free diapers influences a range of positive outcomes for these families, such as positive changes in parental mood (reducing the risk of childhood abuse); improved child health and happiness (nurturing their ability to learn); and increased opportunities for childcare, work stability, and school attendance.

We are thrilled to share the exciting news of our recognition for our partnership with the St. Louis County Library! We’ve been honored with the 2024 Community Partnership Award from the Missouri Library Association. Since August 2019, the St. Louis County Library and the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank have collaborated to provide free diapers to families in the St. Louis area. Our partnership then expanded to include period supplies, successfully distributing over 8,000 kits by Spring 2024. Additionally, we launched Potty Training 101 classes in 2023, offering personalized instruction and essential potty training supplies, including a potty seat and stepping stool, to caregivers. Oh, what a night! We celebrated our 10 years of service to St. Louis families?? Ten years ago the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank embarked on this journey with a vision and passion. Still, we didn’t foresee the incredible community that would support us along the way. A huge thank you to our dedicated team (staff and board)—your creativity and perseverance have driven our success. To our volunteers, your generosity inspires us daily, and to our donors and partners, your support has been crucial in expanding our reach. Reflecting on our accomplishments, I’m proud of what we’ve achieved from starting our period program to partnering with libraries. So many have been a part of this journey as we celebrate our past and look forward to a promising future. To the next 10!
