    Constantly talks about Tech Ridge

It was a great luncheon with the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce. President Randall did a great job explaining the vision of the University of Utah, how education is evolving, and how partnerships are vital across the State of Utah. A few key takeaways from my perspective: ?? The University of Utah’s offering graduate degree programs in Southern Utah reflects the region’s growth and opportunities. ?? Instead of offering undergraduate programs, the U of U plans to build upon Utah Tech University’s undergraduate programs to support its graduate initiatives. ?? Its healthcare training programs are designed to complement, not compete with, Intermountain Health, aiming to address the statewide physician shortage through enhanced medical education. My entire college education was through schools in Southern Utah. I'm a big fan of education across the state. I strongly disagree with the mindset "those that can, do. Those that can't, teach." ?? No, a college education is not the path for every person. But yes, there are some paths that formal education is critical. ???? The phrase we should start using is "those that can't, should get an education. Those that can, better know what they're doing." You're welcome to quote me on that. And yes, I forced Henrie and Kyle to take this silly photo. #education #uofu #sgacc

Nicole Tanner Robison, Founder, Swig (From KSL.com 1/22/25): On April 2, 2010, Nicole Robison opened a soda shop business in a small building in St. George, hoping to attract customers to a new way of getting their soda fix. On that day, Swig was born. The operation was simple at first, with Robison selling basic Coke and Pepsi products before the “Dirty Soda” was added to the menu. Now, 14 years later, Swig has 104 soda shops across 14 different states, with a goal to have at least 1,000 locations throughout the country by 2030. We are SO excited to hear from Nicole at the 2025 Element Awards next week!! ???? ?? Date: March 27, 2025 ?? Time: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM ?? Location: Black Desert Resort
