Stewart Cooper Newell Architects, PA (SCNA) has been providing clients with quality architectural design services since 1971. Our goal is to provide excellence in planning, study assessments, architectural design and construction administration. SCNA understands the science of architectural design, and over the past 51 years we have designed and developed a myriad of municipal projects including; fire stations, police and sheriff law enforcement facilities, EMS stations and sub- stations, as well as 911 call centers and MOC’s Projects in 27 states. Our specialized expertise has helped many cities and counties better the morale of their, firefighters and law enforcement officers; emergency medical personnel and decreased insurance rates, by providing better protection to citizens.

Recent national events have clearly demonstrated the necessity for municipalities to operate efficiently-designed and well-built emergency facilities so that functional response times of its personnel are minimized and life safety protected. The Samet Corporation is honored to have been entrusted to build three (3) fire stations here in Wilmington - simultaneously. One (1) facility is under construction for the City of Wilmington, NC (Riverlights Station #6) and two (2) others are being built for New Hanover County (Gordon Road & Castle Hayne). These three (3) facilities will keep watch over the Cape Fear region for decades to come, acting as pillars of the community, as havens of preparation and training, of public gathering, and of refuge.
