Dave Whitcomb has been a dedicated member of Stewart & Tate for 38 years. He began his career as a laborer and quickly advanced, gaining hands-on experience while assisting various surveyors. Through on-the-job training, he developed his expertise and, for the past 28 years, has served as a surveyor. Now, he is passing on his extensive knowledge to Austin Anderson, who assists him in the field. Our Sitework Group is excavating a tunnel approach on both sides of Belvidere Road in Port Deposit, MD, for York Building Products. This work will allow a contractor to install a 10-foot diameter pipe beneath the roadway as part of the quarry's new conveyor system. The west side is complete, and work on the east side will begin soon.

We caught up with one of our sitework crews this week! Last fall, they installed a new water main and services, and now they're completing permanent patching before the roadway is milled and resurfaced.???? #roadwork #feelslikespring #wesweatthedetails

Black History Month—a time to celebrate the achievements of African Americans and recognize their vital contributions to U.S. history—is the perfect opportunity to share an update on our progress at the Crispus Attucks York History and Culture Center. As we approach the final stages, activity remains in full swing! Last week, Cumberland Iron Works, LLC (CIW) installed safety railings on the rooftop observation deck.
