We are proud to support the Driven for Kids: Defeat Pediatric Brain Cancer fundraising event this October. We will be raising money in both sales in service again this October to support pediatric brain cancer research and families who have had a diagnosis for their children. ??????
Each October, we have raised money for the Violet Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer in honor of Violet's birthday. It started with 60 Napleton stores two years ago, and last year went over 100 with the addition of other Chicago-area dealers, raising over $200,000 for research and to support families in the fight. This year, we hope to take the campaign nationwide as Driven for Kids. Many of us in the business know how generous and active car dealers are in their local communities already. Through Driven for Kids, I hope we can show how powerful we can be when we are united against a common disease - in this case, pediatric brain cancer, which claims the lives of more children than any other disease, including my beautiful 3 year old daughter Violet. Unfortunately, brain tumors strike indiscriminately, affecting communities all over the country. Working through our medical partners, in less than two years Violet Foundation has already provided financial support to over 100 families in 20 states who are going through the worst time of their lives. We have also supported 12 projects headed by the most brilliant minds in pediatric neuro-oncology, in an effort to save lives in the long term. All of this is done without paid staff so 100% of funds raised go to these crucial grants. We had an excellent dog adoption event in the showroom with Second City Canine Rescue last weekend at our Palatine Subaru store and were able to find new homes for a few of our furry friends! Thank you SCCR for a wonderful event! Plus, let's be honest, it's just kind of fun to have dogs and puppies in the showroom for everyone ??
