Sterne Kessler received a significant ruling in a patent infringement case before the ITC on behalf of our client, SV3, a leading distributor of vape products in the United States. https://lnkd.in/eYKMjWAv RJ Reynolds (RJR) accused SV3 and 34 other disposable flavored e-cigarette manufacturers and distributors of unfair importation. They moved for emergency relief via a motion for a Temporary Exclusion Order (TEO). On November 19, SV3 and the other Respondents defeated RJR’s motion. Bet-the-company TEO procedures are rare, and the last case that was tried to an Initial Determination was more than a decade ago. The Sterne Kessler team representing SV3 was led by directors Danny Yonan and Uma Everett. The team also included Kyle Conklin, Ryan Richardson, Kristina Caggiano Kelly, Robert Niemeier, Brooke McLain, Davin Guinn, and Cristen Corry. #ITC #PatentLitigation

Director Jorge Goldstein, will be a guest lecturer at Seoul National University Medical School on November 20, 2024 (November 21, 2024, Korea Time). Jorge’s lecture titled, “Therapeutic Antibody Patents in the United States: Complete Conception, Enablement, and Written Description of the Invention,” will focus on the difficult task of obtaining and defending antibody genus claims.
