Are your prepared for the fractured market? Not too long ago (months), PowerX was the focus (Apps, Flow, BI, etc.). Along side of it was SPA's using various tools, Node.js, etc. The advent of AI has certainly changed the landscape. The dump to the market was astronomically fast. The competition has become fast and furious. That said, AI will certainly overtake a number of standard applications. Yes, it will annoy us all (spam calls, press 1 to.., etc. as if the phone systems aren't bad enough) and there will be bright sides when folks focus on using for knowledge distribution and not marketing. The good thing for smaller businesses is that it doesn't need to be wholesale. Taking a few novel approaches to say one or two applications is a great start. Make sure they aren't 'vital' (or will tick off customers), get the knowledge and make use of it. But as is always and often forgotten: AI is NOT intelligence, it is a culmination of data, events, history, etc. in massive amounts. Like any data, data in is data out - if the data is wrong, well, the outcome will be too. For those starting out, we generally recommend something small and useful - for example an operational guidance program or teaching set. You have a defined outcome (you know what should be right) and you have the pre-set knowledge to provide - thus you can actually measure success. Once a few under the belt, more can be done.
