Monday, October 14, is Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Step Up would like to acknowledge the sovereignty of Indigenous people as well as the countless Indigenous contributions that have made our country – and our organization – what it is today. This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we’d like to highlight IllumiNative Org – a Native woman-led racial and social justice organization dedicated to increasing the visibility of – and challenging the narrative about – Native peoples.
