The United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) recently finalized rules for implementing the Waste Emissions Charge that addresses methane emissions from oil and gas facilities. The rule establishes a methane waste emissions fee for new and existing oil and gas operations which is supposed to reduce methane emissions according to the USEPA.
