Huge shoutout to the SCGA team for crushing it at Wednesday’s annual community clean-up! We hauled away 4 truckloads of trash, 3 truckloads of debris, and used up 4 cans of paint to cover graffiti. Amazing work, everyone! 💪 #CommunityStrong #SCGA

The Aurora Bridge Swales have proven effective in cleaning roughly 2 million gallons of polluted runoff annually, protecting salmon habitats in Lake Union. Projects like Watershed are also significantly reducing potable water usage by utilizing rainwater for non-potable needs—a crucial adaptation as the region faces increasing water demand. Additionally, the recently completed Northlake Commons is setting new standards by treating stormwater from areas beyond its immediate surroundings, supported by proactive partnerships. Learn more about these partnerships and how we applied them to several projects in the DJC Sustainability Building and Design Special Section featuring Landscape Architecture Principal and Director of Sustainability, Rachael Meyer, and Mark Grey, founder and president of Clean Lake Union, partner at HessCallahanGrey Group, and principal at Stephen C. Thrilled to share some insights on our latest project! Over the past 8 years, we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Seattle Public Utilities on multiple water quality improvement projects. It has been a fun journey of pushing boundaries and thinking outside the box as we've worked together towards the common goal of enhancing our environment and ensuring better water quality for our beloved salmon. Huge thanks to SPU for their unwavering dedication and partnership in this important endeavor! Here's to many more successful collaborations ahead! 🌿💧 https://lnkd.in/g86q7AVB
