When a close friend asked me to help find the right oncologist for her father—a first-generation immigrant with diabetes and hypertension—I thought it’d be as simple as researching and reading reviews. But it wasn’t. Despite hours spent on endless reviews and unverified recommendations, there was no reliable, data-driven way to know if any provider could genuinely meet his unique needs. This moment led me to pursue a PhD at Yale, diving into one of healthcare’s toughest questions: ?? How do we measure provider performance in a way that’s truly meaningful and actionable? Fast forward to today, and I’m proud to say that Stellation Care—a company I co-founded with Michelle Xie—is answering that very question and more. PACE enrollment remains a challenge despite almost doubling since 2018. ??
