This three-story, state-of-the-art facility features advanced labs for science, math, and technology, including an Anatomage table for virtual dissections. Flexible learning spaces promote collaboration, while the building’s thoughtful design, developed in partnership with Zyscovich, offers stunning views of the St. Johns River. Completed on schedule with minimal disruption to campus, this project opened to students at the beginning of the school year and will serve as a center for both learning and community events for years to come. This event provided a great opportunity to engage with students from across the region, sharing firsthand experiences and offering career insights in our industry. At Stellar, we are proud to celebrate the incredible contributions of our engineering staff who push the boundaries of innovation every day. Meet five of our dedicated engineers and learn about their engineering experience: Thomas Burley – As a Process Engineering Manager, Thomas designs production systems for facilities and supports other engineers with troubleshooting and guidance. The most rewarding part of his work is seeing the first batch of sellable product come to life, knowing his efforts will soon be on grocery store shelves. Inspired by a passion for cooking and a strong background in math and science, Thomas pursued a career in biological engineering, blending his love for food with a desire to impact the world. Austin Calcote – As a Design Project Manager III, Austin ensures projects meet scope, budget, and regulatory requirements by collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects. For Austin, the most rewarding part of engineering is solving complex challenges with creative, cost-effective solutions. Inspired by a love for math and science, engineering was a natural path. Tyler Gunlock – As an Automation Engineer I, Tyler thrives on solving problems and seeing his programs come to life during startup. After joining the team, he has quickly made an impact by driving automation solutions. Tyler decided to become an engineer during college, drawn to the challenge and excitement of the field. Cesar Pegarido Jr – As a Structural Engineer II, Cesar leads the structural design of building projects, focusing on foundations, floors, walls, and roofs. The most rewarding part of his work is visiting completed projects and seeing the engineering come to life, with everything standing firm and functioning as intended. Growing up around construction through his father, a building contractor, Cesar was naturally drawn to engineering and the challenges it brings. Noah Perez – As a Refrigeration Engineer II, Noah specializes in designing refrigeration systems for Food and Beverage projects. The most rewarding part of his work is seeing his designs come to life in the field. After taking an engineering class in high school, Noah knew instantly that this was the career he wanted to pursue. We’re grateful for our team’s passion and expertise.
