Faster response times and lower insurance rates are already happening for the Pumpkin Hill area of the Northside as the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department broke ground on Fire Station 76 at the corner of Cedar Point Road and Boney Road Tuesday morning. Crews have already been working out of a temporary station next door to relieve the stress on Fire Station 49 on Yellow Bluff Road and Fire Station 45 on Black Hammock Island. Construction is expected to be completed on the new Fire Station 76 by Spring of 2025.
