Excited to announce that Jack Goodwin has joined Stell as our Head of BD!
Jack began his career as a satellite and ground station systems engineer at Lockheed Martin, SAIC, and Airbus Defence and Space using IBM's DOORS to track requirements for programs in the United States Department of Defense and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). As he progressed into roles in program management and business development, the pain of using requirement cost, schedule and risk management tools continued. He wanted to help his teams build - not just do and re-do paperwork.
At Stell, we are working to supercharge our user's workflows with modern requirements tracking tools they actually want to use. We’re excited to have Jack on our team to help us in making the dream of empowered requirements management a reality.
Why did you join Stell?
"Having been on both the government and defense contracting sides of procurement, I knew firsthand what can go wrong when over-reliance on imperfect tools takes hold. Reversion to word, excel and sticky notes takes over, often resulting in chains of stale, emailed pdfs between users. Programmatic costs rise, delivery to the warfighters slips, and the tech-debt of risk quickly comes due -- all stemming from not equipping the good people in our supply chain with proper tools. This cannot continue! Before I was sold on Stell's vision, however, I was sold on its people. Malory, Anne and I met as students at Harvard Business School, becoming fast friends in a community where interest in tough tech was not the norm. Their driven, insightful and iterative approach to problem solving has only continued to manifest in the culture of Stell's early team."
Please give Jack a warm welcome to the Stell team!
