The #1 resource for commercial steel doors and frames
关于我们
The Steel Door Institute (SDI) was established in 1954 as a voluntary, non-profit business association that develops quality and performance standards for steel doors and frames. Representatives of SDI member companies create and publish these standards, which are made available without charge to architects and other design professionals to ensure quality and consistency of hollow metal doors and frames used in construction. SDI is an ANSI accredited Standards Development Organization (SDO). As a complete hollow metal door and frame resource, the SDI website provides all standards, an extensive set of Frequently Asked Questions, and a Gallery of Products. SDI also offers online education for AIA and GBCI credit. We also provide a wide selection of models and details in PDF, AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp formats on our Drawings page - all free of charge. SDI members are steel door and frame manufacturers who have passed an on-site audit from hollow metal door and frame engineers. When you specify an SDI door you can be assured you will receive a product that is well-constructed, tested, and evaluated to meet your specifications.

Fire Door Inspections: Why They Matter & What to Check Fire door assemblies play a crucial role in fire protection, helping to contain smoke, flames, and toxic gases during a fire. But like any safety feature, they require regular maintenance, adjustments, and repairs to remain effective. If deficiencies go unaddressed, fire doors may not function properly when they’re needed most. Routine inspections ensure they perform as designed and tested. ?? There’s a misconception that forced entry doors must look imposing, but they actually look much like standard doors because the heavier duty steel and hardware aren’t obvious to the casual observer. #hollowmetaldoors #forcedentrysteeldoors #safety #security https://lnkd.in/emGTNjrq
