We're back with another post for International Fraud Awareness Week. Today, we're covering ransom scams. Ransom scams, also known as virtual kidnapping scams, occur when a scammer calls claiming to have kidnapped a loved one. The fraudster will then demand funds in return for releasing the alleged hostage.
