What an honor to be selected to speak alongside so many amazing tech thought leaders at the Silicon Forest STEAM Circuit Tech Summit!
Sharing my lightning talk “Getting Girls to Yes to STEM starts by saying YES to THEM” highlighted how we can can all Show Up, Show Out + Show Down for our girls.
Creating psychologically safe environments that welcome girls to participate in STEM from adolescence to adulthood, starts with us.
I said YES to STEM 20 years ago + my career path has been on fire ever since. ????
I may not have always felt safe, but I found pockets of safety + connected with the right folks in tech environments that allowed me to grow.
STEM family, I encourage you to think about what’s getting in the way of you volunteering and/or mentoring a girl today. ??
?? More of us need more of you.
