Last night we had a very successful Phoenix AI Developers (PAID) meetup (in partnership with AIVN - Artificial Intelligence Venture Network). I'm posting a lot lately but this project was my brainchild and I CANNOT WAIT to see how it goes. From a behavioral perspective, there are tremendous barriers to entry with surveys, including downloading apps, scanning QR codes, logging in, putting in personally identifiable information... All of these are potential roadblocks that stop or turn away would be participants. Even the act of vocally responding can be a deterrent. A ????, ????, ???, or whatever you call this ????, take mere microseconds of processing. We do them every day without thought. As companies, organizations or even cities look to increase response rates and engagement, we're tapping into the most innate levels of the human psyche with the power of machine learning. Stay tuned indeed as we transform the way we get feedback and create experiential cities! Super excited to have Brandon Wilson and the Steadynamic team on this!

Let the games begin! I have 5 class sections this semester in School for the Future of Innovation in Society at ASU and have accepted 10 students into the SFIS Undergraduate Research Fellowship this week. Next week we start ramping up for the new Future17 cohort. Caleb Lieberman will be our first ASU mentor in the program. I am looking forward to seeing what he does in this new role. Charles Plath will also return to further our work on operationalizing Responsible Innovation and Principled Innovation. We are focused on smaller markets where we can make the most impact. We will be adding Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) to our team to continue the work we started with Steadynamic earlier this year. 181,000 students... WOW
