The best days in product development are when all of the efforts come to fruition on launch day. It has been a blast to build the Salsa 2 booth with Photobooth Supply Co. Check it out!

CEO @ Five Flute | Helping engineers everywhere design, build, test, and ship better hardware products. Can’t stop talking about #mechanicalDesign #creativityInEngineering #collaboration #bestPractices
Sheet metal design is so insanely useful for common products and yet it isn’t touched AT ALL in engineering school. I wrote this guide awhile ago and it includes everything I’d want a young engineer to know about basic design considerations and how to make fantastic sheet metal drawings. https://lnkd.in/g6t26QhM

Love this writeup on hardware development time. It takes a lot of time to make a thing, especially to do it well.
As anyone in the industry can attest, hardware development takes a long time to do correctly. An unhealthy focus on time to market can kill many companies, and yet it's something we see time and again from first-time founders. In this week's blog, our co-founder Sam Holland breaks down the driving factors that contribute to this mentality, and offers some suggestions so that you can better understand the tradeoffs.

One of our favorite things about using Onshape, a PTC Technology is the regular updates they provide every 3 weeks. A great example is the midpoint line released in yesterday's update. We quickly found a use for it placing a slot centered on a flange with much less construction geometry. The updates come in digestible chunks so it's easy to find a way into your workflow. #OnShape #ProductDevelopment #Engineering #CAD
