Power lines need to be underground- Due to the extensive impact of the wildfires, we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity—a clean slate—to design next-generation infrastructure. The Palisades and Altadena need upgraded systems achieved by under-grounding power lines and up grading gas, sewer, cables, fire hydrants and communication networks. Steadfast LA is proud to launch our first rebuild initiative—expanding housing options for LA wildfire victims in partnership with Samara. In the wake of the wildfires, many homeowners lack the economic resources to rebuild, preventing them from returning to the communities they love. Our partnership with Samara will deliver high-quality, prefabricated small homes at no cost, ensuring victims can remain on the properties where they’ve built their lives. This initiative has already received generous support from Airbnb and Samara co-founder Joe G., who has pledged $15M, with initial seed funding provided by The Caruso Family Foundation.
