This year, my wife Beth and I both lost our moms, so this Mother's Day will hit a little different. It's a good reminder to be extra gracious and kind to others - you never know what others are going through, or how a day of celebration can mean different things to different people. We shared this on our FB page, but wanted to share it with you all here, too: Mother’s Day is beautiful day to celebrate all the women who “mother” us and build into our lives. But it can be a painful day, too. Especially for those who lost their mother, lost a child, long to be a mother, have strained relations… So as we near Mother’s Day and celebrate the moms, grandmas, aunts, and mother-figures in our lives, we also acknowledge and honor those who find Mother’s Day to be a painful one.
