2025 has been off to a difficult start, to say the least.
For everyone who thought 2024 was tough, I think we all collectively went into this year with some optimism and energy, which felt immediately zapped following news and current events throughout the country.
I co-founded Statement Of with Hannah Kinlaw in 2024, and while we had a great start to the business and worked on some really exciting projects, we’re always looking at where we can grow, what we can do, how we can be bolder and bigger than we ever imagined.
What’s giving us a sense of excitement, optimism, and goals for the future is community. We’ve built an incredible network of artists, partner studios, and artist agents worldwide who are on board to support our mission: creating and championing artist-led ideas.
What does that mean, exactly? And what are we contributing to what has seemingly already been done?
When you look at the breadth of artists in our network, they span mediums: photographers, video directors, mixed-media artists, 3D artists, illustrators, and digital creators. One thing unites them all: their work carries a singular vision. It’s not creativity for the sake of creating or work heavily influenced by trends or the content around them. It’s born from the artist’s own perspective, with a distinctive signature style that’s bold, interesting, and unique—a true standout in a crowded world of sameness.
Through our Statement of Intent model, we’ve crafted an agency framework that connects brands with these visionary ideas. With a foundation in agency creative roles and independent production, coupled with deep experience collaborating directly with in-house brand teams, we deliver thoughtful strategy and seamless execution—on time and on budget.
