Governor Josh Stein has proclaimed March 2025 Irish American Heritage Month! In 1991, the U.S. Congress designated March Irish American Heritage Month. This observance honors the vast contributions and achievements of Irish Americans throughout history and today. The 2023 American Community Survey by the U.S. Census Bureau estimates that 30.5 million U.S. residents claim Irish ancestry.
